Match: Serbia vs Brazil
Stadium: Otkritie Arena
Date: 27/06/18
Time: 19:00 (W.A.T)
Head 2 Head:
In the only meeting between both sides, Brazil emerged victorious in 2014 and will be looking to maintain a winning record against the Serbs.
How is Serbia shaping up?
Having started the tournament with an impressive win over Costa Rica and a defeat against a solid Switzerland side, Serbia need to win if they are to have any realistic chance to go through to the knock out stages.
Danger man: Aleksandr Kolarov is expected to be Serbia’s major threat with his ability to whip crosses down the left flank and his deadly set pieces which has so far brought Serbia’s only win in the world cup.
How is Brazil shaping up?
Brazil have started the world cup in rather quiet fashion, struggling to beat Costa Rica and being held to a draw by Switzerland. In a very open group, Brazil will be looking to get a win and avoid the ignominy leaving the mundial in the group stage.
Danger man:
Philippe Coutinho has risen to the occasion and bailed Brazil out in a very slow start to the world cup. They will be looking to make the most of his vision and long range shooting to break down Serbia.
FOOTY-TRAIN PREDICTION
With a spot for qualification looking very tight, both sides will be looking to minimize errors. We predict a cagey match eventually ending in a narrow win for Brazil.
